Hey friends, welcome back! I was given the opportunity to review the new Covergirl Vitalist foundation and the new Melting Pout liquid lipstick, courtesy of Influenster!
I received the Vitalist foundation in the shade 610 and Melting Pout liquid lipstick in the shade 105 Gel-Ful. When I got the survey for this campaign, I was given a 1 shade option for the foundation and was asked if it would work for me. From the photo in the survey it looked like it would, but now that I have it in person, it seems to be a tad off, so well see how this turns out!

Covergirl Vitalist Foundation:
On the Covergirl website, what they state this about the Vitalist foundation is: "Finally a hydrating, vitamin-infused formula for beautiful, buildable coverage that glides on smoothly for a flawless look. A special antioxidant and vitamin complex plus SPF 20 work together to make your skin look healthy all day. Give your skin a luminous glow. Available in multiple shades from light to deep."
This foundation contains 30ml (1FL OZ) and comes in 14 shades. I can always appreciate when a foundation comes with a pump dispenser, as it keeps everything clean!
The foundation applied nicely and I really enjoyed the final finish. Formula I would say is medium-high coverage depending on method of application. I used the Real Techniques orange beauty sponge (holy grail) and enjoyed the finish it left on my skin. I did do a 2nd thin layer and noticed it builds up really well. Keep in mind, when applying foundation with a beauty sponge, you won't get as full coverage as you would when applying with a brush. At first the shade seemed okay, a little of but something I could deal with. I noticed not too long after application, it began to oxidize - making me look too warm. Although this line carries 14 shades, It definitely doesn't cater to me fellow pale/fair skin toned friends. I fell in the love with the formula + coverage and thought I found a new holy grail drug store product. Once I realized it had oxidized on me, it was game over. Being as fair as I am, when shades oxidize - it's easily visible as it turned a warm/orange shade that I'm not. I will add that I very lightly set my face with the Covergirl matte pressed powder.
Covergirl Melting Pout Liquid Lipstick:
On the Covergirl website, what they state about their Melting Pout liquid lipsticks is: "If you want colour so hot, it's melted, this is the lipstick for you! New Melting Pout Liquid Lipsticks give you a high-impact, super rich colour with a lightweight, satin finish. Melting Pour lipsticks give you the intensity rich colour in a gel-based formula for a smooth finish."
The tube style and the cushony soft tip applicator reminds me of the Too Faced Melted liquid lipsticks, which isn't a bad thing, just throwing my thoughts out there ya know? I love this pink neutral shade, as it's a shade I would easily be drawn too.
I decided to go for more of a subtle/softer look by blotting my lips a few times onto a tissue. I really like how this felt on my lips and it applied really nicely. The soft tip applicator makes for a comfortable and easy application - definitely recommend!
Final thoughts:
