GET THE LOOK | COOL TONED CHEVRON NAIL ART
Tuesday, March 22, 2016
This particular day I was headed to a job interview for a manicurist position, and wanted to go for a trendy look. I wanted to show off some nail art without being over the top but yet chic and appropriate. They came out better than I had hoped, and this is actually one of my favorite looks!
I began by applying 2 coats of She Shifty from Canvas Lacquer, applied a quick dry topcoat and allowed to completely dry. I proceeded by applying my dark blue Easy Peel Latex Barrier on the skin surrounding the cuticles, to prepare for some messy nail art stamping. To stamp I used: the frosted clear jelly stamper from Born Pretty Store (use coupon code EXPX31 to save 10% entire purchase), white Konad stamping polish and stamping plate hehe005. I proceeded to stamp all nails, removed latex and applied a quick dry topcoat.
Latex removal tips:
1) Using the pointy end of an orange wood stick GENTLY run that along the cuticle to separate any stringy polish as this will allow for a cleaner peel.
2) Using a flat clean up brush with acetone (dip into acetone and dab excess onto a paper towel) carefully dab on the cuticle line to remove stringy polish as this will allow for a cleaner peel.
