Swatches and Review
**press samples**
Hi friends, welcome back! Today I have swatches of the Winter Sub-Zero Collection from Beyond the Nail to share with you. I feel like it's been a hot minute since I've featured a collection from Beyond the Nail on the blog and I'm excited to share these swatches with you!
The Winter Sub-Zero Collection from Beyond the Nail launches Monday, November 20th, 2017 at 9am EST. This collection consists of 5 gorgeous polishes with finishes such as; a creme, a crelly and a the rest being an exciting new to them finish being holo/shimmer --> YAS!
Each polish from this collection will retail for $10 CAD each.
Evergreen bonus limited edition polish: Available in limited quantities to customer's who spend a minimum of $75+ until Christmas (December 25th). If purchasing this during a sale, one must spend a minimum of $75 after discounts.
Let's get onto the swatches shall we?

SLEET
Sleet is described as a slate blue creme.
Sleet applied perfectly within 2 easy coats and would classify this more as a crelly type of base versus a regular creme nail polish. The formula was smooth and dried down to a nice glossy finish. In these photo's I didn't pair the swatch with top coat as it was glossy enough on its own. However, for someone wearing Sleet, I suggest using a top coat as it will allow your manicure to last longer.

Polar
Polar is described as a white crelly with holo gold glitter.
Polar took me 3 coats to build up too full opacity as the white base is more so of a milky white versus a stark white. If you have shorter nails with a minimal nail line, you could probably get away with using 2 coats. I paired Polar with 1 glossy coat of a quick trying top coat. The glitter distribution was easy and didn't find myself needing to 'fish' for glitter. I find this colour to be so dainty, soft, feminine and think it's a perfect nail polish for the holidays!

Chill
Chill is described as a pale green holo with blue shimmer and a light dusting of flakies.
Chill required 3 coats to reach full opacity for me, and I would say depending on your application you would need anywhere between 2-3 coats. I paired Chill with 1 thin coat of a quick drying top coat. My photo's are leaning a teensy bit blue, and in person Chill leans a bit more green. It's one of those shades that passes for a pale green border line blue - it's a tricky one! I absolutely love the blue shimmer flash, as well as the included flakies! Such a gorgeous colour and I think the name Chill suits this combo perfectly!

Shiver
Shiver is described as a pink holo with green shimmer and a light dusting of flakies.
Shiver took me 3 coats to reach full opacity and paired it with 1 thin coat of a quick drying top coat. The formula on Shiver was the same as the above Chill, requiring 2-3 coats depending on application.
The maker's description states a green shimmer, which I seen but it's very subtle and from what I see, I feel a stronger presence of a gold shimmer perhaps? You guys be the judge! I can never get enough of pink nail polishes and love how feminine this one is - so, so gorgeous!

Frostbite
Frostbite is described as a silver/gray holo with a violet shimmer and a dusting of rainbow flakies.
Frostbite required 3 coats to reach full opacity and I paired it with 1 thin coat of a quick drying top coat. Formula is the same as Chill and Shiver making it 2-3 coats depending on your application. Again, keep it mind if you have shorter nails with a minimal nail line, you could probably get away with 2 coats. This one for me is the 'belle of the ball' being the star of the show! Words cannot describe my love for this polish and it's just perfection in a bottle. I LOVE the silvery/gray holo base paired with the contrasting violet shimmer - ugh, my heart melts! Oh, let's not forget about the flakies - SO GOOD! This is definitely one of those nail polish's I'll be reaching for quite often*

Evergreen (bonus polish)
Evergreen is described a bold green holo.
Lastly, we have Evergreen and this applied perfectly within 2 coats and I paired it with 1 thin coat of a quick drying top coat. The formula was smooth, easy to apply and raised no issues. Like the brackets say, this is a bonus nail polish and I seriously can't recommend this one enough! If your a fan of holographic nail polishes, this is one you need - it's such an intense linear holo! I looove this so so much and need more intense linear holo's like this in my life - cough cough, hint hint Beyond the Nail lol :p

I think overall this is a fantastic collection and love that they've played around with some new to them finishes, being holo/shimmers. It's always such a pretty combo and hope to see more of this type of finish from them in the future. I wish Evergreen was here to stay forever, but like I mentioned, it's a bonus nail polish and is available in very limited quantities! Do you have any favourites from this collection? I'd love to hear your thoughts :)
